What Is Cognitive Hypnotherapy?: Cognitive Hypnotherapy works by using your natural trance states to uncover the unconscious thoughts, emotions and memory patterns which are generating and maintaining your particular problem/s. Once these patterns have been revealed I can then help you to find conscious ways to take control of your thoughts and behaviour through solution-based guidance and positive suggestions. I use the cutting edge technique of Wordweaving™ a form of hypnotic language, along with NLP, and EFT to create a tailor made therapy for you and you alone.
There are also many techniques that I can teach you, that you will be able to take away and apply in your everyday life, my approach is not only about helping you to overcome your issues but also empowering you so that you can deal with whatever life throws at you in the future.
Can Anyone Be Hypnotised?: Yes but only if they want to be. All hypnosis is in fact self hypnosis, people drift in and out of trance naturally every day, although they may not be aware of it. Have you ever driven home from work and not had the slightest recollection of the journey? Or sat in front of the television only to realise several hours have passed by without you noticing it, these are example of trance states.
How Will I Feel During Hypnosis?: You will feel pleasantly relaxed as though you are in a trance like dreamy state. People are often surprised at how aware and in control they feel while being hypnotised.
Can You Make Me Do Anything I Don’t Want To?: No, while you are in trance a hypnotherapist can not make you do anything that you do not want to do, or anything that goes against your sense of right or wrong. You are in control at all times and will be working in partnership with me to achieve the result that you want.
What If I Don’t Wake Up?: Trance is a naturally occurring state that we move in and out of every day. If you were left in an induced trance, you would either fall asleep and wake up naturally, or get bored and leave!
Choosing A Therapist: It is really important that you are comfortable and at ease with whoever you choose to work with. Which is why I would recommend that you telephone a few people for an initial chat before making your final choice. This way you can hear what they have to say and then get a sense of which you like the best. Remember: a good therapist will not put pressure on you to make up your mind there and then.
How Many Sessions Will I Need?: This will depend on you and your individual needs, Cognitive Hypnotherapy is a brief therapy therefore my aim is to treat you in the shortest amount of time that will be best for you, so that you can get on with your life as soon as possible. On average most people who come to see me will need anything from 3-7 sessions, however depending on the issue some people may need more.
How Much Does It Cost?:
- Hypnotherapy sessions cost £75 and last for approximately one hour.
- Hypnotherapy sessions in the Salt Cave last for an hour and cost £75.
- Hypnosis for Relaxation sessions cost £40 and last for 40 minutes.
- Breakthrough sessions cost £300 and can last up to 4 hours.
Payment will be expected at the end of the session, I accept Cash, Cheques, or you can pay by Credit or Debit Cards using Paypal. A discount is available if you choose to pay in advance via Paypal. Concessions are also available for students and people receiving benefits.
